Our heroes are the dragonslayers of this new world. While the reviews are mixed, everyone agrees that these are the most magnificent and scariest dragons ever created on film. A great B movie.

This light-hearted fantasy adventure movie is popular for its fantastic special effects (George Lucas produced) and beautiful locations (filmed in Britain). Humor, romance and action combine for a delightful excursion into a magical world.
Get More Info	Seven Samurai - Criterion Collection (1956) directed by Akira Kurosawa, starring Toshirô Mifune, Takashi Shimura The one and only. Seven ronin (unattached or outlaw samurai) are hired by poor villagers in 17th century Japan to protect them from raiding thieves. The most intense final battle ever filmed - one of the greatest movies ever made. Inspiration for The Magnificent Seven (which is great, but doesn't even come close). This is a 3-1/2 hour long film, black and white.
Get More Info	Dragonheart - Collector's Edition (1996) directed by Rob Cohen, starring Dennis Quaid, Pete Postlethwaite, Dina Meyer, Sean Connery Sean Connery is a very versatile actor; in this movie he plays a dragon, and wonderfully well. The last dragonslayer (Quaid) and the last dragon (Connery) team up to tour the villages, putting on shows, and keeping themselves in funds. The fun turns more serious when they join forces to oust an evil Prince. Wonderful special effects bring Draco to life. Not a cliché here to say the whole family really will enjoy this film.
Get More Info	Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) directed by Ang Lee, starring Chow Yun-Fat, Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi Set in medieval China, this incredibly beautiful movie captures the most breath-taking martial arts action yet filmed. The acting is perfect, the cinematography is enchanting, the special effects awesome. The story is more about the role of women, personal honor, and the sacrifices of the martial-religious life than the quest for a special sword. Don't miss this one.
Get More Info	Labyrinth (1986) directed by Jim Henson, starring David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly Be careful what you wish for! This is one lesson learned by teen Sarah when the goblins really do come and take away little brother. Sarah follows through the Labyrinth to rescue him from the King of the Goblins (Bowie). Aside from Bowie and Connelly, the entire cast are muppets modeled after Maurice Sendak's monsters. Outstanding effects and set decoration, Bowie performs several songs. A fairy tale classic.
Get More Info	Dragonslayer (1981) directed by Matthew Robbins, starring Peter MacNicol, Caitlin Clarke, Ralph Richardson Highly underrated movie with absolutely awesome special effects, Dragonslayer is set in 6th century England (but filmed at gorgeous locations in Scotland and Wales). The hero, young sorcerer Galen, must slay the dragon, with the help of a girl and his old mentor. A simple tale, well told and very effectively filmed. Currently, only available on VHS.
Get More Info	The 13th Warrior (1999) directed by Michael Crichton and John McTiernan, starring Antonio Banderas, Vladimir Kulich, Dennis Storhøi, Diane Venora In the glory days of the Islamic Empire, a young Arab poet (Banderas) is banished to the wild steppes of Russian and meets up with a band of Vikings. Together, they journey north to vanquish an ancient evil that is terrorizing and killing the peoples of their homeland. The twelve Viking warriors are a tightly knit group of brothers in arms, highly attuned to and appreciative of each man's strengths and weaknesses, working as one under the leadership of Buliwyf (Valdimir Kulich), who has won their loyalty through prowess and ability. This is a truly great and highly underrated glory and honor movie.
