the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya (1997) Enya A wonderful introduction to Irish musician Enya if you are among the (few, by now) people who haven't yet heard the most popular Celtic New Age artist in the world. She composes, she sings, she plays - all very beautifully. From her earliest CD (Watermark, released in 1988) on through her first three, this album provides a wide selection of songs. You may also like: Only Time - The Collection (2002), the best of Enya on four CDs (includes Silent Night, May It Be) in a beautiful purple velvet gift box set. |

Clannad:
Greatest Hits (2000) Clannad Ireland's most well-known Celtic band, they are Enya's family - an incredibly gifted family. Originally (pre-80s), they did traditional, acoustic Irish folk. Since then, they've defined the Celtic New Age musical movement. This CD has a blend of Celtic (many of these are the also on their Rogha: The Best of Clannad CD) and New Age songs. A good way to hear what they are like and decide what other albums you want. |
